I will bore you with the incredulous details of meeting my new Bossman before we get on to quilting. My first day back from vacation was Weds and he wants to spend the day riding in the car with me. OK..... He was an hour late--didn't call--didn't answer when I called him to find out if he was dead in a ditch somewhere--so, I left our meeting spot. Fifteen minutes later, I have to go back and pick his princess-rump (and that's me editing out the sailor talk I was using at the time) up to ride with me. I know it is always nerve-wracking to meet a new boss and make that first impression. I'm pretty sure that is NOT what went wrong Weds. One of my 'peeves' is when someone cuts me off when I am talking. It makes me feel like what I was going to say is unimportant. I think it is quite rude and there has been many a day where I haven't spoken to Hubs for an hour to prove exactly this point. Well, let me just say that the new Bossman didn't let me finish a single sentence all day. I won't bore you with the rest of the details, but first impressions we were like oil and water. Some things just aren't meant to be........it's all good, the Tractors are Coming!!!
Some things ARE meant to be. In my quest to work on the PIGS and UFOS, I grabbed the next bag. It is an Easter project, so that is just perfect. I pull the pieces out of the bag, iron everyone all out, and open up the magazine to find out where I am on the pattern. Hmmmm.....I have inadvertantly packed the WRONG magazine with it! The horror of it all! I find the bag that has the project corresponding with this particular magazine and Voila! no magazine! Now, I remember that I was working on this project with another person. She had cut wool pieces out for our bunnies and the wool wasn't in the bag. So, I have a the background and all of the pieced units that go around it, but no bunnies and no magazine. Do I wing it into the trash? The temptation is there..... I decide that I will grab a handful of magazines from the bazillion on the rack. I remember which magazine it is from, but not necessarily which particular issue. I find it in the first three I look through! Whippee! Here's the weird part--it isn't MY copy of the magazine! What I have found is another copy of the EXACT magazine that a customer gave me when she brought a quilt in to be longarmed! What are the odds??? So, now I need to e-mail her and tell her when she strolls back in, I can give her back her magazine. I also know which cover to look for on my copy of the magazine....and life is good!
So, all I ended up getting done was some of the applique on the center block. The flowers get another circle appliqued in the middle. Bunnies are still wool....

You really don't want to know all that I went through just to get this one pic on here today! Blogger is being a boogar!
